How is this different from FPL? +
SuperSmalls is designed for private leagues with a commissioner. Unlike FPL, you get offline auctions, blind bid transfers, six unique positions (including DM and AM), and a rating-based scoring system that rewards genuine match performances rather than just goals and assists.
Do I need to pay to use it? +
You can create an account and explore the platform, but scoring, transfers, and squad management require an active league. The commissioner picks which add-ons they want, then each manager pays their share directly via Stripe before the season starts. The base league fee is £20/year + £2.50 per manager.
Who pays for the league? +
Every manager pays their share directly via Stripe. The commissioner chooses the add-ons, then locks the roster — at which point each manager receives a payment request for their portion of the league fee (plus prize kitty if enabled). The league activates once everyone has paid.
How does the prize kitty work? +
The commissioner sets a kitty amount per member. Each member pays via Stripe at the start of the season. The total pot is distributed at the end according to configurable prize categories — league winner (30%), runner-up (15%), Manager of the Month awards (3–4% each), and more.
How many managers can join a league? +
Up to 20 managers per league. Most leagues run with 8–14, which works best for the auction format and transfer system.
Can I customise the scoring? +
Yes. The default Smalls Rating system is battle-tested, but commissioners can adjust position bonuses, rating maps, and other scoring parameters per league from the settings page.
What is automatic scoring? +
The auto scoring add-on pulls match data from FPL and suggests player ratings and stats for each gameweek. The commissioner reviews and approves the suggestions, saving hours of manual data entry while keeping full control.
What is the All In bundle? +
If you select all three add-ons (Automatic Scoring, AI Reports, and Live Auctions), your total league fee drops to £169.99 — that includes the base fee and all add-ons in one price. The discount applies automatically during setup.
Can I cancel my subscription? +
Leagues are paid annually, not on a rolling subscription. At the end of the season, the commissioner decides whether to renew. If they do, fresh payment requests go out to all managers for the new season. Your data is always preserved.
What are Live Auctions? +
The Live Auctions add-on lets your league run a real-time online player auction. Every manager joins a lobby, the auctioneer reveals players one at a time, and managers bid in real time with a countdown timer. Budgets update live, squads build as you go, and there's a built-in chat for the banter. It replicates the in-person auction experience for leagues that can't all be in the same room — or just want it to be digital.
